Greenskies Solar Installations Exceed Power Production Estimates

Solar projects designed and built by Greenskies Renewable Energy LLC achieved 112 percent of their estimated electrical production in April, the company has confirmed.
The estimated electrical production is the projected amount of electricity those installations would be expected to generate over a one-month period under normal meteorological conditions.
Greenskies is a 5-year-old company that designs, builds and maintains solar photovoltaic systems for corporate clients, municipalities and government agencies, educational institutions and utilities. The company currently has about 40 solar installations online that collectively produced 1.03 million kilowatt hours of electric energy during the month of April.
According to the Energy Information Administration, a division of the U.S. Department of Energy, the average New England household uses 7,668 kWh of electric energy per year. Therefore, 1.03 million kWh would be enough energy to power about 135 New England households for a full year.
Greenskies reached the overall energy production milestone of 5 million kWh of electric energy on April 16, said Michael Silvestrini, the company’s president and founder. That’s enough electricity to power about 652 New England households annually.
