Greenskies Closes $82 Million Renewable Energy Deal with Rabobank

Greenskies Renewable Energy has closed a multi-million-dollar deal to finance more than 60 commercial solar projects across a four-state region that will generate more than 26 megawatts of clean electricity, the company said.
Greenskies (www.Greenskies.com) has partnered with a tax equity provider and Rabobank North America to create an $82 million renewable energy fund that will be used to finance large commercial solar projects in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York, said Michael Silvestrini, Greenskies’ president and co-founder.
Greenskies is a Connecticut-based company that designs, builds and maintains solar photovoltaic systems for corporate clients, municipal and government agencies, educational institutions and utilities. The company owns and operates nearly 100 commercial and utility-scale solar projects throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic States. Solar installations designed and built by Greenskies have now produced more than 20 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
