On Friday, the partnership between town of Manchester, the local school system and the CT Green Bank and solar developer Greenskies staged a ceremony to commemorate the installation of solar panels at six schools and Manchester's water treatment facility.

The arrays in North Haven and Waterford are online and generating electricity to provide Connecticut residents with clean, renewable energy through Eversource and United Illuminating (UI) utilities.

North Haven-based clean energy company Greenskies recently completed two solar installations in North Haven and Waterford which have a total of 24.82 megawatts of power.

Headquartered in North Haven, Greenskies Clean Focus was recognized by the Connecticut Green Bank as an outstanding partner for its involvement with the Solar Marketplace Assistance Program for Towns & Cities.

All six Barnegat schools now have solar canopy carports installed and activated by Greenskies Clean Focus, the energy company announced in a release.

Greenskies Clean Focus has completed a 2.14 MW solar canopy carport portfolio for the Barnegat Township School District in New Jersey.

As Barnegat Township School District Business Administrator Steve Brennan tells it, installing solar canopies was a win-win. That’s why it brought in Greenskies Clean Focus to install a 2.14 megawatt solar canopy carport portfolio, one that totals 4,756 solar photovoltaic panels at its six schools.

The Barnegat Township School District is proud to announce the installation of solar systems at all six schools. In total, more than 4,756 solar PV panels were installed.
